Umeshu is a Japanese liqueur made of ume fruits (japanese plums).
 
Shakujo no ume (plum of crosier) is one of Miyajima Mount Misen 7 Wonders.
 
The legend has it that someday, Kobo Daishi was leaning on his crosier at this very location, and that the crosier had taken roots just before turning to a plum tree. The tree doesn't bloom during ominous years.
 
The calligraphy has been made by a monk from Daisho-in (Shingon Buddhist) Temple in Miyajima (Hiroshima Prefecture)
